These terms apply to your use of the tournamentstats.co.uk website and the TournamentStats API. By using either, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or the API.

1. What TournamentStats is

TournamentStats is an independent, fan-built data project providing historical statistical data on the FIFA World Cup and UEFA European Championship. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by FIFA, UEFA, or any national football association, league, or governing body. All trademarks referenced are the property of their respective owners and are used descriptively only.

2. Accessing the API

The TournamentStats API is distributed and billed through RapidAPI. Signing up for an API key, subscribing to a pricing tier, rate limits, and payment are all governed by RapidAPI's own terms of service, which apply in addition to these terms. This website is informational only — it doesn't process payments or create accounts itself.

3. Data accuracy

Data is compiled from publicly available historical records and cross-checked where practical, but it's provided "as is" without warranty of completeness or accuracy. If you spot an error, we'd genuinely like to know — see the Contact page — but we can't guarantee every historical record is error-free, particularly for older tournaments where source records themselves are inconsistent.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use the API or this website to do anything unlawful, to misrepresent the data as official FIFA or UEFA output, or to attempt to disrupt or overload the service. Reasonable, good-faith use for the applications the API is intended for (apps, tools, research, editorial content, and similar) is exactly what it's built for.

5. Intellectual property

The compilation, structuring, and presentation of the data, along with the website's design and text, belong to TournamentStats. The underlying historical facts (scores, dates, names, and so on) are not owned by anyone — you're free to use factual data you obtain through the API in your own products, subject to your RapidAPI subscription terms.

6. Limitation of liability

TournamentStats is provided on a best-effort basis with no uptime guarantee beyond what's stated on RapidAPI. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TournamentStats is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the website or API, including loss arising from inaccurate data.

7. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time; the "last updated" date above will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the site or API after a change means you accept the updated terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
